Jumpseat Battle Brewing

You are a reciprocal OAL like everybody else. Not any better, or worse then the rest. Any other argument put a business interest into the jumpseat assignment which should not exist, and must not allow the foot in the door.
I'll tell you where this is headed. The pilot unions control the jumpseat agreements, at somepoint you'll **** of APA enough to get them to talk with their conterparts at United and Delta that it isn't fair that an AA guy is getting left behind because OAL RAH guys are getting priority.... so, AA will be putting RAH guys ahead of both DAL and UAL guys effective XYZ date unless both carriers stop putting RAH ahead of OAL.
The losers here are going to be the 2500 pilots at RAH, not the collective 35,000+ at mainlines. You've already got better travel and JS deals than most, but you guys just don't know when to quit.

You do have a reciprocal agreement.

It’s not reciprocal, learn how words work Cujo.

The sad thing is Cujo has no stake in the matter. He works for some ACMI outfit and has positive space commuting. Not only is he ignorant on the details, he barely even works in this sector of the industry anymore. Nothing but a troll.

Right!! It’s REALLY weird that he still has such a crush on AA that he feels it’s his duty to protect them from us

So to clarify, you think a RAH guy who flies primarily for United express should have priority over a B6 guy on an AA metal plane that is carrying B6 code and pax who bought the ticket on jetblue.com? Makes sense.

lol, so we are doing codeshare agreements now for the jumpseat? Shall I expect to be bumped from the JS by a Qatar Airways pilot too?

No. I’m simply pointing out how asinine the logic is that RAH pilots want priority on all 3 majors because they *could* do some flying for all 3 majors, especially when someone is crying about losing out to a B6 guy who could be doing more “AA flying” than he does at RAH. Want AA JS priority? Go work for AA or one of their WOs. It’s that simple. You already got a helluva deal on UA/DL, even if you’re a guy who flies solely in the AE system. I used to fly exclusively for American Eagle at my multi-major feeder regional, but still had JS priority on UA/UAX because I *could* maybe go fly under United express. I thought that was unfair, but favorable to me. I bumped a mainline UAL guy off an offline (for me) UAX flight. That was messed up, but that was the deal. I’d consider yourselves lucky. But you keep trying to push your luck. You want to have your cake and eat it too. Personally, I’d expend energy trying to leave the regionals and get to the majors instead of trying to fight unions at the majors, but that’s just me. Good luck to you all.
