Im about 3 years on property and wouldn’t hesitate to leave if offered a job at AA or any legacy, brown/purple or SWA.
Whats stopping you? All the legacies are currently hiring pilots with:

-no college degrees
-multiple checkride failures
-no TPIC time
-less than 2,500 Total Time
-a misdemeanor charge in their background

…I don’t think there’s much of an excuse at this point.

Everyone gets that. The problem with seniority numbers for those at AAWO’s is that it would be a huge liability to guys coming off the street. Get hired then have a WO pilot jump them on the list down the road.

Right? Mainline’s union represents mainline pilot interests, and as questionably as APA may or may not accomplish that seniority for WO pilots isn’t an APA interest. It’s not their responsibility to solve AA’s problems in a way that would negatively impact other APA members.

…let’s continue to wear those “it’s time” lanyards and panhandle for our contract because it’s obviously working!

simply, pathetic!

Just off the union call at Envoy. It appears they tried to work with APA but APA wasn’t interested. If you guys think this is a missed opportunity, you should take it up with your reps.

APA has way bigger fish to fry right now. This isn’t a slam on Envoy…. APA is currently a $hit sandwich.

Not in disagreement. Really, I dont know anything about AA and APA negotiations and know they sure aren't in it for Envoy pilots. Just replying to the initial point of the thread. There was an interest in joint negotiating but APA said no.

The specific question that brought this up was regarding longevity when flowing. Said APA would be needed for that but APA wasnt interested in working with WO MECs. It s unknown what else would have or could have been worked out with WO MECs woking in concert with APA because nothing specific was addressed. Just that APA wasn't interested in working together.
