Yeah don’t mind my WB math lol, I thought we were in 2023 for a second. I agree with the 5-6 year mark.

Asking in the context of someone that has an upcoming AA class date with class dates at the other two legacies after but within several weeks. Will be a commuter for family reasons and an AA domicile is closest to area in which we’re settled.
I'd be concerned if hiring didn't start again.

We're hiring, for now, and vacancies are a contractual obligation. Most movement is lateral now, but cycles will change.

If WB is a goal, plan 6 years to stay realistic. Anything earlier is a welcome surprise, 6 or after, well, it's the timing and you'll be there so small potatoes.

Class drops are mostly reactive from my observations. MIA 73 is showing up big from people bidding out and they still need bodies. Same for PHL/320. We had a good amount of 73 people bid PHL/320 to max their juniority, get on the Bus, then bid out to their base. Sprinkle in some known plus-ups they want for XLRs coming and the PHL/320 slots will probably stay higher than others.

Good luck.

You mentioned CJOs from all 3 legacies, are you not in driving distance from either of their bases?

Good point. Apologize for being vague. "Concern" as in if the vacanies/new hire assignments were indicative of negative health in the company or reduced confidence going forward. Thanks for the reply.

I acknowledge that "driving distance" is subjective. Around 5 hours to a major AA hub and several more hours to DAL/UA domiciles. In any case, too far to short call at any of them.

Why would weekly classes with 50 new hires be something negative?!

Zero concern from the drops whatsoever. Business as usual and growth is a great thing! Everyone has a junior base.

Maybe I am not understanding the spirit of your question.

Appreciate the replies.

Nothing more to what I was asking other than to help a FNG read the tea leaves as to if the drops and vacancies meant anything other than what was already stated above. Thanks again!

Any March class dates go out yet? Heard the flows got letters with the "subject to AA's needs" caveat but curious if any class dates have actually been assigned.
