Looks like with 2 more scheduled classes this year, we will finish with over 1600 new hires for 2025. Always interesting to go back early in this thread and look at the over/under guesses for new hires 2025.

Very seriously considering waiting until I can hold a line to upgrade. Reserve was a nightmare for me, and under no circumstances would I upgrade before I could solidly hold LC and even then - likely not worth It.

I didn’t hate reserve until the new RAS rules let guys that had flown 0 hours pass terrible trips to me the day after I got home from a different one. I have zero interest in going back to how it is now.

RAS ruined reserve for the junior. Only good thing about reserve is fatigue calls are free. So just fly the first leg of the garbage trip then pull the plug when you can't take it anymore.

I haven't looked explicitly at this vacancy but from previous ones, BOS was pretty consistently level. Not really adding or subtracting pilots.

BOS is very non-friendly to commuters. When FOs upgrade or move to WB they need to fill in the positions. The problem is very few who get awarded BOS in training actually stay. This is the main reason it's ever in any drops. BOS was never(very very rarely) in new hire drops at all until after covid. It's been consistently 100-120 for a very long time.

3XP is not accurate at all in future predictions. I should have been a lot higher in my bid status for Jan. Not the first time future outlook has been way off.
