I’m not trying to argue this- but where did you read this? I have gone through both companies’ contract comparison guides that have been recently published, and I cannot find any mention of contract compliance penalties. I also cannot find any mention of contract compliance penalties in our CBA. I’m not saying they aren’t there, or that any other airline doesn’t have a better process for enforcing the contract- I would just like to be able to read them for myself.
This is something that ALPA could produce for us to show how they will better support us for all of the money they would make off of a merger.

I will never forget the way they acted and how they treated the bottom of the list. APA's structure allowed it with no chance of repercussions. Thankfully a lot of those clowns are now retired

Well yes actually you are. The devil that I know is a lot different from the devil you know.

all I’m asking for is unbiased data for/against either side.
so- how is too junior to understand any different than “you’ll be senior someday”?

I want this matter settled no matter the result.
But I am tired of all the asterisks this drama has resulted in.
Survey showed there is interest in more information, but BOD kills it.
Card drive idiots constant misleading statements about the drive itself.
Now the Gustin amendment and if this fails, done for 30 years.
We never will settle this matter unless an ALPA merger is approved. Otherwise more asterisks!

cool. So I guess myself and the rest of bottom 5000 should just sit back and let everyone else decide the direction of the union. Unless of course we’re willing to just blindly follow the pro-ALPA camp.

You weren't here when they were doing what they did. There is ZEEERRROOOO "data" available for the actions they took and the statements they made.

It has nothing to do with being "junior" stop looking at it as a derogatory term. I said nothing about you, or anyone junior to me, having a say. You absolutely should.

I actually want to be supportive of the pro-ALPA side. Right now, I cannot see any reason why I should be- outside of section 6.
I will say, it’s the way the pilots act that are pushing for change that are making it unappealing to those of us that are either on the fence or just don’t care.

you’re the one that said “well yes actually you are” with regard to my sarcastic comment of “I guess I am too junior to understand”.

How does it fix the past? How does it make it more equitable for any future acquisitions? All while keeping everyone happy?
What are they actually going to do to make us a better union- outside of section 6?
or am I not expected to understand that either?

Sure, so help me understand. What were the sins of the past? You already said most of those people are gone- so you can’t punish them by going ALPA. So, how does ALPA make you whole again?

I may be late to the party but I assumed he was talking about the “zero” concessions APA was interested in giving to remedy the furlough situation during COVID. Rubbed a lot of folks the wrong way when other airlines were looking out for all their pilots.
