Total guess, both companies are tying up their year end financial reporting and waiting til that is complete. Maybe we'll see some sort of announcement on the day AA reports annual 2012 data (last week of January I think?)

After trying to read through all the east/ west bombardment in this thread, I couldn't seem to find any info on the MOU. Any info on what new hire payrates will be?

AMR requested another (fifth request, if you're scoring at home) 20 day extension for their POR. At least the requests are getting smaller...

Hey look, the east is at it again.
January 11, 2013
To: Bill McKee, Steve Crimi, DeWitt Ingram CLT Base Representatives
Gentlemen,
We have received your messages concerning the Non-Disclosure Agreement.
This letter is to notify you that you do not have any right to unilaterally terminate or violate the Non-Disclosure Agreement. The NDA was executed after consultation with the members of the BPR, you among them. It was necessary for USAPA to agree to the NDA in order to participate in the discussions and negotiations that led to the MOU which the BPR approved. The NDA is in the meaning of the NDA.
The USAPA General Counsel has informed me that any action by you or anyone else bound by , will subject USAPA to substantial liability and could result in the revocation of the MOU which was reached under its terms. Furthermore, our organization will not tolerate any attempt to be taken hostage by your actions, threats and demands.
I take our responsibility under the NDA seriously and will take whatever steps are necessary to protect the interests of the Union and our members and to insure that this Union does not violate the NDA. I trust that this letter is perfectly clear that you are required to continue to hold all matters covered by the NDA strictly confidential unless and until the NDA is lifted by the mutual agreement of US Airways, American Airlines, the UCC and USAPA. I must inform you that any action such as described in your emails to the USAPA Secretary/Treasurer on January 9, 2013, would be an intentional breech of your fiduciary duty to this Union and you will be held fully responsible for your actions.
Sincerely,
Gary Hummel President

No, the arbitrator wanted to staple the furloughed pilots none of whom were ever guaranteed to return to the line. How many bites at the apple do you feel entitled to? What entitles the east to write the conditions and restrictions and remove the west's veto rights in the JCBA?

And do you feel at all responsible for the condition of east/west pilot relations that will exist long after you are retired?

The west's final offer going into arbitration was to staple over 900 active, working US pilots. Read the Nicolau award and opinion, it's in there.

According to the law and recent court rulings the union has the rights you question, subject to DFR. Like it or not, USAPA was legally elected. When USAPA was formed most west pilots refused to join. It wasn't until after Susie's day in court when they found out they would have to pay that most decided to join.

You guys(no one that I know of) have always refused to participate in any C&Rs. Recently USAPA sent out a message saying that times have changed and C&R need to be looked at and changed and that they welcomed input. Our attorney's have reached out to AOL and it's attorney's for input and have been told Nic unaltered or we continue the fight. Have you offered any other solutions than that? If not, that's fine, but why complain about it?

These guys are about to face a recall election and feel that the NDA keeps them from defending themselves. They want the recall vote put off until the NDA is over and they can "explain things" and one of them was talking about defending himself, NDA or not. That's what this is about. I think the attorney's set them straight. This will probably seal their fate.

Does anyone really know when the NDA expires?
