Just some clarification.
Back 2 or 3 years ago, Envoy flows were 25+ years in some cases.
End of 2016 was about the end of the "824s". They flowed at about 16 years.
Currently the "Protected Pilots" group are flowing. As of a couple of months ago pilots that flowed were about 12 years.
It is forecasted at the end of the "Protected Pilots" the end of 2019, pilots flowing will be about 7 years.
Why the rapid change?
After 9/11/2001 the music stopped. There were very few Envoy hires between then and a couple of years ago, when they ramped up, together with everyone else in the industry. So a few months of flow rips through a year or two's small hiring numbers.

True, but they have a different number of pilots on property.
The Envoy number during the "824s" was 30 or half of the hires whichever was less, if I recall correctly. When they were only recalling a few furloughed pilots, half of 0 new hires was 0 a month.
The world has changed in just a couple of years.

That said it's very competitive to get an interview off the street. I'm non military RJ CA and was interviewed in June and got the call this week.

500. PSA has 500 fewer pilots. My point was that Envoy, despite being 25% larger than PSA are flowing pilots 4 times faster which is why Envoy's Time to Flow is dropping fast. The pilots flowing from PSA were hired before PSA doubled in size, which means those that are flowing now had less than half the number of guys in front of them than what someone hired in the last year or two will have.
I believe it's all moot though. We have seen so many positive changes at both mainline and regional levels in the last few years and I think we will see just as many changes going forward.

Envoy has had a bunch of flow types over the years. Back in 2009-2010 a bunch of flows went over. Then the 824 started. Once the 40th 175 is in revenue service (this month or early next month) that triggers 50% of the class again for the protected pilots. After they are gone the percentage drops.

Saying 25+ yrs is being disingenuous at best when the contract allowing flows has only been in place for 17yrs (from the comment I posted on).
