Thank God it passed (if it's true that it did.) Let's move on and get this over with...
It didn't pass in the form approved by the APA and AAG. USAPA passed an edited version which strikes paragraph 16. So, in effect, the original PA didn't pass because USAPA wants to change it. Now it goes back to the APA and AAG

Which I find funny as it was this very paragraph USAPA wanted re-worded. After several passes they agreed on the language. Then they just strike it all together...

Who it "they?" Officers, committee members, members in general? Aren't you a member?

It was a mistake for the Negotiating Committee to cheerlead their own proposal to the membership before even giving it to the BPR.

The BPR. The ones charged with the interest of their constituents. As a pilot hired post US/AWA merger, I don't feel that my interests are being represented or even listened to.

What do I know? I'm just an entitled junior pilot.

Don't get me wrong. I think we have some great committees and there have been a few that have been a big help to us new hires. It's greatly appreciated. The BPR has and will continue to trouble me.

Please don't take this as an attack on you, R57. I generally like what you have to say and think you're a pretty level-headed guy.

Or mine as an attack on you. I've enjoyed your posts and was caught off guard and not sure what you meant.

Do you think your interests are better served with this PA than without? I feel better about having this, if it indeed makes the final cuts.

I share your frustration with some reps, sometimes, but that has been the case with every union I've ever been associated with. 3rd listers better find some to get behind as we will need APA reps soon.
