Agree. You guys have no bone in this fight. Are some envious of the out of order positions and bidding power 3rd listers enjoy, absolutely. But it isn't your fault and you are only bidding the position you can hold based on the side the company chose to place you.
There have been some third listers who have been vocal about protecting their out of seniority gains, but they are few and far between.
As for funny stuff found in aircraft, I think it was happening on both sides. I've personally found FADEC's powered off and other small stuff.

Eh, try not to paint with a broad brush. I have encountered West crews who weren't exactly cordial, but I wrote them off as an aberration. Most have actually been quite friendly toward me. Even if "the history lesson" from their FOs gets a little tiresome every time I share a jumpseat with them...

Start selling expensive ties like the West, see how much change you can collect. I doubt participation from our 3L pilots will be very high. Bottom line, we're all ready to move forward. It seems that the writing is on the wall and the NIC is imminent. Now all of the sudden you guys care about our (3L) representation?

Where do you come up with this crap? News flash to you but we have many third listers on the West too. We didn't toss them under the bus and we aren't trying to recruit them as pawns in a fight that isn't theirs.

The good news is I have the "advantage" of being hired after 12/9/13, so one would think that my place on the list is pretty well settled regardless of who wins. My only concern is that some Eagle types who came on property after me might actually wind up senior to me, but I think that may happen anyway and there's nothing I can do about it.
I used to just hope that this would all get done on time, but if the company can't even get a FOS done until late next year, then whatever. Let's all file another round of lawsuits.

To have jumpseaters and non-reving pilots from the west get up in my face and try to intimidate me in front of passengers as I say goodbye?
To have a bag of trash thrown at me by a west FO in the terminal, again in front of passengers?
The common thread in all of these is that I had the balls to say hello and to be a decent human being. The other common thread in these is that the people who talked me out of going straight to the company were these "scumbag east pilots" who told me it wasn't worth it.

Wow, you have bad luck. I was brought up with manners and would never treat a stranger as such. In fact, save a few bad apples, I can't think of any other West FO's who would treat you so poorly.
Sorry for your bad treatment. You must have encountered our 1% time after time.
