I’m sure that’s said every round though.

Single list in May, that kicks off the 9 month "negotiating" clock, then arbitration. Barring a massive economic turnaround, I doubt management will work towards anything meaningful during those 9 months. Which means an industry lagging contract sometime mid-2021, from what I've been told.

Could easily go a lot longer. Last time it took 2 and a half years. JD might go for a new company record.

Just looking for some info: currently an FO at a regional wondering what will happen come Oct 1. I have a phone screening set up this Friday with Atlas/Southern Air. Anyone have any insight into what that phone screen consists of? Also what aircraft most people are getting out of class?

Out of curiosity how long did it take for you to hear from them after submitting your application?

Phone screen- Must sell you have no issues with 17 day patterns on the triple / -400. You love Asia and want to see the world for 10 hours ( min rest ) at a time. Must love CVG overnights

737. I understand no pay raises for 3 years and can live on 62 hours for a while. It’s been my dream to fly the guppy for Southwest - I mean Southern Air to Omaha Nebraska at 2am.

767. I will love being junior on the jet forever- as I know there is zero expansion on that plane. I also really love CVG-BWI night turns on the 767-200 for 62 hours. I really enjoy the DHL hub at 2am seeing the old timers, and knowing this could be my future.

I also will really enjoy 90 days in Miami for training eating the Latin Cafe and LaGrange.

sell it, and I’ll see you in Miami!!!

Probably asked multiple times, but why are you at Atlas if you hate it so much?

Ive never posted that I dislike Atlas. I just speak the truth for a new hire. We have guys super senior with great QOL making 300-400k per year. We have super senior FO’s living in base picking up all the OT making 150-200k per year.

I personally love my job, seniority, and plane.

A new hire will have a vastly different experience- we are backfilling for attrition that took place last year- not hiring for growth. Buyer Beware

I understand your perspective now. I agree with the new hire part. And personally the 737 position is far from ideal, but who doesn't need a salary to pay bills nowadays.

I have a 73 class on June, and I'll try to make the best of it, enjoy the plane as much as I can and hopefully heal my finances a bit with KY/OH cost of living. Learn from more experienced captains and enjoy not having passengers.

Better this than no pay and getting laid off, no doubt. Long term potential? As of today probably not, but who knows if changes are made. You senior guys know more about that, so I'll pay attention to what you have to share in the cockpit.

How likely would it be to get the 747 out of JFK or MIA?
