Atlas Air Hiring
Atlas doesn't offer any travel benefits for your family except for some kind of flat rate ID90 on Delta I believe. Please correct me if I'm wrong. All I could find in the forum is a $200 stby ticket on Delta. I know pilots keep their mileage when they deadhead on AA, Delta, etc so is there any good options as far as credit cards go to maximize those miles? American and US airways are offering 50,000 bonus miles to new members right now. I'm thinking about applying for both and having those miles merge whenever they merge the credit card points.
For those of you who went to the job fair, how do you think it went? I was very pleased to talk to them, and think it went well. "Hopefully you'll hear from us in 2 weeks." Fingers crossed that something will happen.

Atlas employees get ID90's for themselves, spouse, kids and parents....on JetBlue, USAirways,Delta and Southwest. There is a system in place now that you can check the loads online and buy an ID90 up to an hour prior to the flight. I don't know why but HQ hasn't really been very quick to advertise this. I found out from a crewmember that flew his family to Japan.

And in the interest of paying it forward, and WHAT THIS FRIGGIN' THREAD IS ABOUT, what did they ask you? Was it what I posted when you asked a few pages back in the tread, or completely different? And how much time was allocated to talking to you?

YMMV, since they had 7 recruiters, so it obviously depends on whom you spoke.
For me, it was too short. She asked the expected question "How come you want to fly for us?", but that was it. I was probably 4 minutes with her. I saw someone else who had started before me, and was still at it when I was done....
Granted, they had everything they needed about me: my resume had been sent early January. They sent me the assessment test on Wednesday, and I completed it that same night, 2 days prior to the fair. So I really was going in the hope that we actually could schedule an interview date...
Alas, she explained that they just switched to a new computer software, and she isn't too sure how this computer spits out the info now, or on what criterias.
At the very least, I hope that going to the fair was a way to put our files to the top, once they get back to Purchase.
And hey, we got a bag, a flashlight, and a small notebook with Atlas logo on them, so we got that going for us!...

It was the best job fair experience ive had to date. Talked to two people about 15 min each. Conversational only. Why Atlas, what about being gone for so long...how do you know so and so....why not aa, dal.....the pilot i spoke to mentioned things they are working on to make it better. Expect 767 hiring for time being with cvg base.
Fingers crossed. Starting to prep for test just in case.
