Atlas Air Hiring
Right now it's all about layovers at home...
Good places, though. I once rented a SUP in ROZ (completely flat that day), and paddled down the coast at my leisure. Some of those beaches are topless... Just sayin'!
SCL is on my list too, actually. Pichilemu/Punta De Lobos and that left point... Fine place to be a goofy foot.

Cant surf ROZ as its barricaded by a seawall. ROZ and SCL you'll have to rent a car to get to the good ones, many uncrowded point breaks south of ROZ/old spainish countryside aka CA before all the fruits and nuts showed

Hi all... I recently shared a hotel van with one of your pilots in JFK and found out that there are a handful of pilots commuting in for work from different international locations, via the "gateway" basing.
My wife is down in Rio, and I was wondering if any of the posters on here are commuting from S. America... or if any of you wouldn't mind forwarding an email contact on for me.
One of your HR ladies gave me a little better idea of how it "could" work with company supplementing cost on tickets, if they are flying you to start a trip at a location other than base.
Just wondering how this actually works in practice!
Thanks!

This has come up a couple of times recently, so here's a reminder to those wanting to get on here:
Bidding should be considered a chance to bid days on/days off only. We have no trip/bid protection. No matter what you've been awarded, Scheduling can and will change your line at their choosing. Seniority has no effect (ask me how I know!). Budget for guarantee and be pleasantly surprised if the company allows you to go over it. Layovers are an exercise in wishful thinking. By all means, bid a line with attractive layovers, but don't plan on it until you touch down. Saves a lot of frustration when you look at it this way, and it's hard to internalize if you're coming from the regionals, for example. That said, some flying tends to stay together, such as DHL routes, but I get bumped off those too. YMMV

I was under the impression calls wouldn't be going out until the end of the month? Do you know anyone who was actually called for an interview?
