Thanks for the info. I fly in business all the time with LH from my base in the sandbox because our direct flights are always full, but I just realized I am using an ID90. Our particular agreement with them allows us to book business class for more €€. And it's not cheap, getting to ORD from the Gulf costs more than €300! But the food is good and plenty of Franziskaner so I can't complain
I know most Atlas guys seem to take advantage of hotel points and airline miles; anyone care to share some stories about how long it takes to earn enough points/miles to cash in to some freebies???

I've been holding off from posting until things settled down. Next thing I know I've been here about 5 months and just had my first PT. This will likely annoy some of the high-time, already-typed pilots, but if you've read the thread you know there's no set hiring pattern.
I became aware of Atlas in 2011 when I met a classic (I think) crew in the desert. I came to this thread and fell in love with the concept.
ATP in Jan 2012 and applied that night. Nothing. Updated several times and nothing. Retired from the USAF in May 2012 and went to work as a sim instructor for Lockheed Martin.
Summer of 2014 a guy I knew from the USAF hired on with the 76. I'm pretty sure he recommended me, because Sep 30 I got the call for the test. I think another USAF guy I knew might have recommended me, but I can't remember. I took the test Oct 15 and got the phone interview on Nov 21 to interview at HDQ on Dec 3. I got the happy email on Dec 9 and the great phone call on Jan 30 for class Feb 16. I drove away April 21 and finished OE in June.
My stats, and the part where some of you are hopeful and some are annoyed:
TT: about 5000 corrected, mostly C-130
Lots of instruction and examiner time.
Last flight in a real plane to hire date: approximately three years.
If you know anyone at Atlas, even a day one new hire, I highly recommend sending them a resume and asking them to recommend you. In our class it seemed like we had nearly 100% success in getting friends the test email. Not all were hired, but I like those odds for the assessment.
Sorry for the long post. Here's a text potato:

Hello all, interested in applying here, (applied a year or two ago) just had a few questions;
1. Does atlas dh you to/from work? Or do most folks jumpseat for usual commute?
(Friend at kalitta gets this so wasn't sure if thats how atlas does it)
2. Whats does a schedule look like on average for most folks? (From what I gather 17 days on)
3. Any other gotchas or things to look for?
(Current time to get past IOE? Do your monthly days get extended often?)
Appreciate the feedback !

The short version:
1.) Yes via the gateway program
2.) It varies widely
3.) the answer to this is longer. First of all. The answers to these and a myriad of other questions are just a short search function away in this thread. Leafing back just a dozen pages or so will bring a wealth of information. I don't mean to be terse, but a bit of homework will yield a lot of information out of this thread; it's been going for years now.

... and this thread has a wealth of information on just about any Atlas question you can think of!
BTW ... any current Atlas pilots living in the PDX area that would like to chat over a cup of coffee? Feel free to PM me. Thanks.

Sorry, couldn't resist!! Try the link below...but please don't come to Atlas if you haven't done your homework -- you will be disappointed and I can almost guarantee you will end up leaving, thereby wasting your time, Atlas' time, and will have succeeded in taking up a slot that someone else would have happily filled in your place.

Good luck.
