The answer is different for everyone based on where you live and what kind of flying you like. I can hold any base as a senior FO. My order is LAX, ORD, JFK, HSV, MIA, CVG, IAH, PAE, ANC.
LAX is a 747 only base. If HR is only hiring into the 76, you may see it after your 3 year seat lock is up. If you get a fallout 74 class, then it would be safe to plan a year or so. For what it's worth, although the JR FO is a 2/17 hire, we just had a base expansion.

Hello All and thanks in advance. I just got the call to come interview and was told they are only hiring for the 767. I currently live in Anchorage and was kind of hoping to be based there!
With that being said I am trying to get an idea of what life would be like on the 76 living in ANC.
How does gateway travel work? Would I travel on day 1 and home (home being ANC) on day 17? Or will I essentially be working 19 days on because of travel on either side?
Is it possible to bid over to the 74 from the 76?
Any advice is appreciated!

Don't lie to guys, working at Atlas is far from perfect but it sure beats a lot of other jobs.

I don't think that's a lie at all.
