So I've had my application in since 2020 and applied again beginning of 2021 they are all under review as of March 30th. Attended meet and greets and no movement or word from the company. Do they send out a TBNT e-mail that I might have missed?

And years 1 through 5 you earn 2 weeks vacation a year. Your first year will be pro rated unless you are hired in January. Years 6 to 11 you earn 3 weeks. At 12 years you start earning 4 weeks.

Has anyone in December 747 class received drug test forms yet?

When you get the ability to take your drug test, I would HIGHLY recommend you take it ASAP. Several people have had to delay their class date because the results did not come back quickly enough, and they won't let you start class without them.

Thanks. That’s my concern, it’s getting closer to the class date. When I called, I was told the company is waiting for Southern Air to merge fully. Hopefully I can get it done in time.

Call again. Southern Air doesn't exist anymore, we are all Atlas now.

New class on 11/15 had 9 747, 1 767, 3 777 hires. Pretty low numbers no matter the time of year. Ouch.

Definitely does not keep up with attrition. I’m afraid we are going to shrink to a smaller airline.

I think that Atlas will be gone in 5 years. Our management refuses to acknowledge the fact that pilots are becoming a rare commodity, and they just keep dumbing down the levels required to get hired here. That will only take them so far unless there’s a huge change in the FAA minimums.

Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst. There are a lot of pilots that thought their airline was too big to fail…but were wrong.

I certainly hope not, they have a lot to offer if the management start playing ball or are even changed to people more willing to listen. I am not sure how desperate they are for pilots at the moment but I do believe from 2022 it will get a lot worse than what it has been over the last 2 years.

Class sizes apparently are already very small and there is no chance of getting the 25+ pilots they wanted per class and only getting smaller. So either they will wake up and have a come to Jesus moment or as you say go down with the ship if they really don’t care.

Hopefully common sense prevails and the right people end up in the right places to sort out the mess….one can hope still…
