They’re just filling holes, it’s how it works here. Find bodies here, find bodies there and move on to another source (Will Canada be next?). The QFA Contract has been steady, but they come and go like HSV, PAE or Houston (might return) which both were around for well beyond a decade. Doesn’t mean deals aren’t being made behind the scenes, just ask other Aussie flyers once on the line - so there’s that.
What is that last line insinuating?

Lord, I apologize for creating a “Jump to conclusions mat”. In layman’s terms: Those living abroad have found ways to select gateways (within the U.S.) in such a way to benefit themselves (not in a bad way) which provides the ability for a fully ticketed commute OR a substantial amount of the cost to commute and make it work.

*As mentioned before, find those who reside down under and glean this information from them. A few of them seem to be doing very well.

This right here. There ways folks living overseas make it work with no issues.

True! Sometimes I skip a day here and there and obviously post at odd hours especially when I’m home so answers don’t always come quick. Swakid8 gets it. He understands as well as many others that people make it work and we can only state the normal transactions that take place and not disclose the nuances that somehow might jeopardize another parties working relationship within our walls. I’m not that guy.

If this is all it takes for you to start insinuating about a person's motives. Please do us and you a favor and not come here. All we need is another person on the flight deck jumping to conclusions and go complain about it to HR.

Sorry if I've gotten anyone's back up - insinuating not being the right word, was just asking what was meant.

No harm, no foul. I could have been more direct and not obscure or vague if you will. I have been dropping into SYD past couple of months after a three year hiatus due to the clamp down. Forgot how much I missed roaming around, such a blast even during the wet/autumn/winter months - refreshing.
