CRT is basically our rig. About 4.95 hours of pay for every 24 hours on duty, including R2 and R3 reserves in base.

What hurts us on credit, is that lines are being built with 16-20 days off. That is not enough TAFB, or time away from base, for CRT to break MMG.

Super Senior FOs snagging the few high credit primay lines or the rest of us FOs bidding for a 17 consecutive day R2 or R3 is about the only way to significantly break MMG right now.

why are lines being built with so many days off? Is there no flying?

Q1 is typically slow for ACMI carriers. Chinese New Year drastically slows the flow of goods out of Asia. As a result many carriers use this typically slower period to schedule heavy checks.

It is slower for a bit Q1 wise, but I noticed since starting in December the BLG or flying if you will started to exceed the CRT. Efficiency seems to have become a priority as many of the lines have been uncharacteristically showing higher flying hours vs min guarantee or our former $ maker CRT. This relates to our ORD base specifically. Unsure if the others were gaining traction flying hour wise. Folks on the line were hopeful for a raise, but it was obvious just to be more efficient and condense the lines a bit and you get more $ and they get more productivity. You earn it while company benefits without having offered higher pay rates. This was the first step well ahead of any pay increase. Many have complained that they could earn quite a bit more with the numerous gaps we've had and so it shall be it seems. Luckily there are just a few low lines/more days off available at this time although I still don't sit around as much in a leisurely state or go on walkabouts as I did before December.

This would certainly fit into Apollo's stated goal to make the operation more efficient

We got an email that talks a little about this. I think some things are in flux at the moment.

Totally agree, especially if you manage over a half a trillion worth of assets and like most your focus has always been profit margins. Paying 5.2B /102.50 for AAWW stock to go private will have most likely brought the efficiency magnifying glass to the forefront of better and then perhaps bigger for growth. FedEx restructuring isn't happening just for fun or out of pure boredom as well.

Default Upgrade time

What is the current upgrade time?
Is there a requirement for a certain number of hours with the company? In the type of aircraft? Or just need 121 mins?

Junior CA. Based on November 2023 Vacancy Award.

Sure, this is two months old, so slightly dated, but close enough for now. It was originally posted on November 27th and twice December 11th. There even is an entire thread titled "Upgrade times at Atlas."

121 Mins must be met.
