All this sure looks like a lot more than a couple extra 767's.
1)A 767 LAX selection on the new bid sheet.
2)A quick/little notice new hire 767 class.
3)A short course approval.
4)A pref hiring agreement that apparently Atlas management has signed.
All within 30 days, WT F over?

Just got an email for preferential hiring into the 767 for 1224 members. Guess those rumors are about to come true regarding those airframes. Kudos to the Union for getting this accomplished. Learn from it ALPA, I could have used this a few years ago.
Good luck, gang.

We are in very good shape on the 744 side, with 10 year FO's waiting for the left seat. So no need for the experience and no hurry.
Not saying it won't happen, just not a need on the company's side.

Actually, I have heard that there is NO short course...please someone with contacts somewhere, let us know...because I keep hearing both yes and no on that front.
As for 744 new-hires? Be patient, grasshopper...your turn will come soon. I realize the waiting is frustrating, especially when you consider that you are in the hiring pool having met all the requirements, and others come along and grab a 767 class...therefore, gaining seniority numbers on you. I'm not sure there is a solution for that...
Good luck...and best wishes.

My "WAG" would be no. On the 767 side of the house, Atlas is short of experience. This was a win-win for both parties. The union got union brothers and sisters pref hiring and the company got experience and cost savings with a shortened course. Plus it sounds like the company is in a hurry.
