It looks like AAWW (Through Titan) quietly acquired two more 777's in July. I wonder who the customer is?

“In addition, we are executing a strategic plan that leverages our core competencies. In July, we acquired our second and third 777 freighters for our Dry Leasing business. Each of our 777s was acquired with a long-term customer lease in place with a leading operator in the airfreight industry. These investments enhance our position in an attractive aircraft type, and they generate predictable, long-term revenue and earnings streams.”

When I'm home, I do things like take the kids to DisneyWorld, not putz around the kitchen checking loads for the commute to the next trip that starts in Atlanta in 3 days..... YMMV.

I thought you were always home beating up 13 year olds on Call of Duty!

I know someone said on the last page or the page before that there was no hiring for the rest of the year (subject to change) but a buddy of mine told me they might reopen the window again in a few months... anyone heard similar?

Currently many are seeing their schedules "optomized" right down to the 62hr min. It seems like most of us new hires are being held out for the full 17 days but are not getting any hours over the rig. I've heard more than one person comment that we seem to be running over-staffed. Until things pick up a bit, I'd be surprised to see new hiring. That said, we have the hajj flying coming up with the holiday season right around the corner, so you never know. Study for the online test in the meantime.

Tanker-driver,

It is indeed rare at Atlas to beat the rig...most of the time, it is the rig that is controlling.

That said, there is premium pay for "certain choice places around the world" that is paid above the rig or min guaranty.

Best guess would be two more of DHL's 777-200F's that AeroLogic is operating.

Too bad we can't drop/give away trips. I would trade $ for days at home during the summer for the financial ambitious out there.

I flew with a sim instructor the other day who said there's a class of about 10 747 folks in sep. I would imagine those will be from folks who've already interviewed. No word on an open window.
