The truth doesn't hurt me; it obviously hurts you. I have no problem working for UPS. Yes, there are some labor/management issues here, but than again, what company doens't have those issues. You are obviously in this industry for pay only, and that's ok. So if pay is your issue, go to fedx. It won't last long!! We will be better paid real soon. All I know is that you seem realy self centered, and you don't belong here with the IPA. Good Luck at fedx.

4th and Goal, I think he is right bringing up extremely tilted Contract that B. Miller gave us. He screwed the young for the A plan. 60 dollar 2nd to 12th year slope!!! He could have fixed it, but UPS said no A-plan back to 1988 if you do. The Facts. Also, the FO's here top out at 67%, FDX is 72% of Capt. rate. A 5% difference. Imagine that.

Default Wtf

I dont fly for anyone, and dont know much about the unions. But i can only dream of working for UPS, FedEx, or Atlas. Having to deal with low pay will be part of my dues. I am sure life will get much better 5-10 years into the job. Just reading this post and seeing that STGO has made it this far and is about quit because of the first year pay really bugs the ****** of of me, I meen there was someone else out there that did not get the job because of him. And now STGO is about to throw it away!!!!

Edik--I think that's the point STGO is talking about. If he was hired at UPS he has a lot of time invested in the profession already. Don't read too much into what you see on these message boards. For all we know he may be a poser from ERAU or an intern stirring the pot. If you like to fly do it. I agree with a lot of what he is saying, but agree that he comes off as a pompous jerk. It'll probably get a lot worse before the contracts are done at UPS and FDX.

I understand what you are saying. That was then, this is now. I really feel that we are under way to an industry leading contract!! Yes, B. Miller was sleeping with the enemy and gave up way too much **** for the retirement, but thats old school. It's DONE!!. There is no way that **** will fly now. I know for a fact first year pay has more than doubled. I am just ****ed at the fact that this new puke comes here and starts bitching while on probation. Suck it up, get over it, and move on!! The pay gets better and so will the lifestyle.

EDIK...Please don't kid yourself. There is NO excuse to justify the first year salary at UPS.

If you've got the experience to be hired at UPS, you've already PAID YOUR DUES!

I was mostly talking about having no seniority and having to work when i rather be doing something else. 26k is very low, especially for UPS, but it gets better second year, doesnt it?
