FDX - APR Disputed Pairings

OK, so you will be non-member herkdriver. Unless you were a NM prior to August 2006, any new NM is a dues paying NM. ALPA will endorse a candidate just like every other union in the country and it will probably be a Dem. Those are just the facts. It's not new, so I don't see why you say IF ALPA endorses.
As for why I addressed the difference in the terms "non-member" versus "dues paying non-member", thanks for the 411 on the current contract and agency shop...I well aware of how it was implemented. I was merely pointing out that not all non-members are paying their fair share, and that regardless of whether I chose to stay or go, I would always feel an obligation to pay my part (even if agency shop wasn't in the contract). That's all.

Well Bandit,
Individually assessing DP's on your own criteria is simply a selfish excuse to fly them if you see fit (plusing up the line, or any other selfish need). Followership is a lost art. all thinkers ("my own criteria") seem to think they are smarter than than average bear. Bottom line is........if your a member, toe the line.......if not, then you are revealed as what you are......a non-member in members clothing, hiding until your own selfish needs overide your need for anonimity. No more ....no less.

No sarcasm here...just an honest question. What do you mean by a "non-member in members clothing, hiding until your own selfish needs overide your need for anonimity"? I am certainly not defending any non-members who chose to fly DP's or not pay their fair share, but to say that by choosing to not be a member is selfish confuses me; Not every decision to leave the union revolves around money.
P.S. Before you accuse me of being a DP flying, non-dues paying member, I am neither. I own a hat, walked the picket lines, declined draft and did everything this MEC asked of me during the past 7 years. Flame on.

After reading the candidates answers on ALPA's website, including McCain's, it was clear America is bereft in quality candidates for the office without corners. The Dems will overload the Treasury with programs (like McCain will with DOD) yet McCain will sell blue collar workers (like pilots) to the Great race to the bottom.
Read McCain's answers on ALPA's website. It's what he DOESN'T say that is ominous.
