Feb. 1 (Bloomberg) -- Air France-KLM Group has agreed to sell two new Boeing B777 planes to FedEx Corp. after it was unable to negotiate a delay in their delivery or to rent them out, French daily La Tribune reported, citing an internal document.
The price was well below the list price of $500 million, the newspaper said.

No normal union would agree to this in a million years; I hope...

You know.. it's just REALLY HARD.. for the company to replace these 5 instructors who can no longer hold the airplane.... ... because there is a lot of 757 training on the horizon... with all those airplane deliveries and all.... So our union leadership just wants to keep up that " good business relationship" with the company... you know.. to make their job easier.
I thought it was supposed to be give and take... all we seem to do as a group is give... give.. give.

To quote Dr. Phil, regarding the "Agency Shop" provision: "How's that working out for you?" Let's see, if the union does something I don't like, I can quit and they get my money anway? So now we have three unresponsive entities in our lives (four, if you own a cat!), the company, the union, and the federal government!

Let me get this straight -
Someone will be teaching the 757, flexing, and flying the airplane periodically that can't hold the airplane due to our excess bids? And he will not get FO pay or generate any passover?
I'm sure an outside labor attorney would find this interesting even if CE doesn't. How much is this worth to you?

I don't believe I've heard the definitive answer to this.
Also, is allowing them to flex in another plane while holding a more junior seat unprecedented?
I thought there was/is an over 60 gentleman who could only hold 727/SO by age, who was actually working as a MD-11 Flex up in ANC...then did PCs every 6 months in 727 MEM sim to keep his awarded seat currency (..or was that just a rumor too?)
Once again --- those who know, please chime in.
A'o Aloha.
