Now that we're all backslapping because of the TA I just have to say I stayed up most of the night reading the thing on ALPA's website and all I can say is I'm voting NO! I'm so underwhelmed I can't stand it.
Here is a quote from Council 26's letter to their constituents.
"In the end, it was the conduct of the crew force that provided the conditions for the successful negotiation of this contract." Horse$#!+ !
Every fedex pilot should personally thank UPS management for this concluclusion. A special heartfelt thanks go to Subic pilots, most Anchorage pilots, and Memphis MD11 fos for their personal efforts toward this TA, too bad the rest of the morons didn't get the picture.
My take is the MEC is bubbling over with enthusiasm to pass this thing because they know they can't get any better with the level of support that was really demonstrated. Not even one dissention, come on Sean I had higher hopes for you.
Yes, there are some improvements in some critical areas, but I thank the aviation gods that this is only a 4 year deal.
Maybe this is what is needed right now just like FPA was needed to get it out of our system, but this contract could have been incredible.
