Folks, this is the bottom line. The Jobs are ours and one way or another they are going to be ours! The FQS situation at UPS will be over, the questions is what side of the fence do you want to be on when the plug is pulled?

"The Jobs are ours."
Probably the first mistake made in this fiasco, and about 70% of us bought into it.
Some of them may eventually be ours, what are you willing to trade?
Claiming ownership of something you do not rightfully own tends to create all kinds of problems. Some of what was claimed was never really negotiable.

I always side with reality.
And what of the real world now?
You must have never seen a very expensive loss by a firm of attorneys, sorry you don't like my view, but I consider your view and don't ask you to shut up. Am I disturbing your comfort level?
I trust the labor attorney's interpretation over yours kid...along with the precedent set by the Dorsey case ruling, one of the facts in this matter. Claiming ownership of something you should own sometimes takes a fight...If you're comfy in your world of quotes and theory, please stay there and leave the real world to the rest of us. To me, you're nothing but a dilettante in this matter.

Are you the one guy that is interviewing for the management position?

I don't ask you to shut up all the time, just when you feel the urge to quote yourself into Nirvana and everyone else into Hell. If you'll confine yourself to debating the facts, you have my permission to speak. I might even listen.

What is clear is many facts about our position were given little thought, and the present turmoil has brought that home.
My humble suggestion is that we may be forced to restate our position and clarify exactly what we are bargaining for, because most of us don't really understand at this point.
It has been made very clear what we can't bargain for, and that we can make a mistake.

In some worlds any difference of opinion is viewed as anti-union/pro-management. Unions can do a lot of good, but that doesn't mean you have to embrace the whole cliche, turn left and ignore reality.
Thanks for your kind indulgence, I don't have any plan for Nirvana or Hell, and the road is never smooth. It might be smoother to start from a defendable position though.
