IMO,

BT in his short tenure, has done more to defend our contract than any EB prez before.

I personally know commitee chairs who are excited to work with BT and know that BT has their back. The simple policy of meet with the company once to settle an issue, and if there is any stalling, involve a third party (FAA or NMB) has our people psyched.

BT had my vote before, and he will receive it again.

Now you FQSs, your usefulness to UPS is going to dry up. It's nor BT and the IPA saying so in the letter, it's UPS in their objection to the NPRM (which should not have been admitted past the deadline). Publicly, UPS is calling FQSs "fill in pilots", hmm seems to solve that craft and class issue. But if your administrative duties prohibit you from having proper rest for MEF, they have no use for you. This is now a matter of public record.

So FQSs, the ball is in your court.

There is no way that ANY FQS would trust anything to BT now that he has either lied or "Mis-calculated". An error of this magnitude can be explained but not ignored. He may get attention but certainly not the attention that a Professional pilots union should. IMHO his time is up and he should resign and allow a true man of integrity to take the reigns. It would be better for all of us, line pilot and FQS!

STAPLE. That is what I will vote for (as a bottom 300 type) if the card drive doesnt pass this time around. I think there are IPA folks that have toted the party line but will not vote to have FQS's come in above us on the seniority list in the future. There are some that hope the card drive fails and the NPRM takes care of the problem without losing seniority. Are there any other Spartans out there that agree?

This whole BT love fest on the B&G make me want to puke! The dude is impulsive, short tempered, and has a huge misplaced ego (ie- we have enough cards).

Not exactly who you want out front Leading the IPA.
My problem with BT can be summed up with one word.

Integrity.

This publicly exposes his temperamental nature we saw just days prior to his election when he was making political posts on the Bar and Grill.

If the FQSs are eventually accreted my concerns will be toast. If they're not, BT will be toast when he's up for reelection. I'm hoping for the former!

His error is truly troubling.

While not a SPARTAN, I do agree. I don't see why we care about these guys, let the company flush them and lets go after the jobs. Most of these guys could not be trusted as an IPA'er. The proof is in the card count.

upsIERRA you have obviously bought into the ups management culture, so sad. I can't imagine having to be a RB's little puppet on a daily basis. Keeping drinking the Kool-Aid before its all gone.

By the way you guys look ridiculous wearing those hats!

Interesting....The ONLY lack of Integrity here appears to be on the IPA side. You might not like what the company has said but at least it has been consistent and forthright.. because of your seniority you certainly have a misplaced view of reality. All I hear is self-preservation. Step back and look who the liars were and then make your adjudication.

BT may have done more to improve morale in his short tenure than any IPA prez before. I will give you that BT's tactic of running and whining to the FAA at the drop of a hat "has our people psyched", but is it actually effective? What has it actually accomplished?

What's the next step when the FAA stalls?

Well, let's start with the reason for the furlough. The company said the airline was overstaffed so they needed to furlough 300 pilots. After just four months and 109 furloughees(hostages) the furlough was discontinued. So was the company lying or did the amount of volume really increase?

The fact of the matter is Lekites didn't get the concessions from our contract that he wanted. So he punished the IPA by furloughing 109 pilots.
