FDX Contract Openers

Lanyard or no lanyard, take the time to read whats presented from both the company and our side. In the end, ultimately make an educated vote, rather than voting based on emotion or how someone told you to vote.

The first HKG LOA presented for a vote was embarrassing. Having pilots, and Union leadership, bid for the 777 while having no payrate was embarrassing. Pilots flying DPs on a routine basis is embarrassing. Putting forth and approving a contract with 4A2B language is embarrassing. A pilot wearing an ALPA pin and no lanyard is no big deal. Debating the merits of unity actions is healthy - not embarrassing.

Yeah I noticed how one side of this debate attacks the individuals because the other side attacks the symbolism too. Perhaps if one side didnt becomes so personal the otherside wouldnt feel the need to be defensive. And unity would break out all over. Not the 1st time I have noticed this behavior in the 12 good hearted fellows.

Are we not supposed to be doing C/O now? Talk about symbolism. The C/O will be flown at straight time pay. Either by a line holder or on a VTO. It is the will of both ALPA and the company. Now when we get into self help I will do what I did during 4A2b, bid it, conflict it, and not add it.
I still think we ought to have furbies on our lanyards that say remember haymarket whenever they get in range of another union furbie. It be a good way to spot the nonmembers.
