Default This guy...

For a company that can’t keep a DO, can’t find a worthy chief pilot, and can’t seem to otherwise manage their operation - it seems reasonable to question the aptitude of the cadre of check airmen it employs.

Mexi is back after hiatus. Now I think I better understand why you stay at Swift.

I went to their office in uk and they informed me that swift air said they did not utilise my 2weeks off.basically do nit join swift air and do not take or apply any job thru brookefield aviation. They are lying. Their contract as worth as a toilet paper. Chief pilot is just a title. i dont need mention his name here as u guys know who am i talking about. Swift air is basicaly mix and match.i totally agreed with you.rostering staff name tammy is a backstabber.
If you're here looking for someone to empathize with you, this is the wrong place. You were a management tool to circumvent Swift Air pilot's efforts to maintain the 18' compensation package for the European contract, not only that but you came over and made more money than Swift pilots did. IMHO what happened with the contractors has no place in a Swift Air forum. Babye.

They tried to replace the CP numerous times. They've asked at least 6 Swift pilots if there interested, ALL said no. Why you ask? They offered SALARIED pay at basically 1st year CA Pay. They had a replacement picked, but his current airline at the time offered him a substantial pay increase to stay, and he passed on SWQ.

Our CP is way over his head, dishonest and vindictive. He uses heavy handed tactics and intimidation so pilots won't question or challenge him because he knows he'll show how incompetent he is. This place is such a mess

Wouldn’t call it the wrong place.
It shows they’re screwing everybody including the people hired to circumvent.

Without a union there is no scope protection. I said that last year. Swift will do what it needs to keep their contracts going they will protect the business, we were short 30 pilots last year. We will surely be short when PRG begins again too even with it at a smaller scale.

The silver lining is if they go the contract route for Europe, their choices will be slim for guys under 121.436. There maybe some American guys furloughed because of China right now, but this is an unstable contract that only runs 5 months of the year. Last year jet airways went TU and a lot of expats were on the street.

I don’t jump to conclusions because they haven’t released any info on it either, this will change 30 times before the real info is out. It’ll probably be 10days before acft are due in prg before info is released, that’s my prediction.

If you are flying with a Captain or an FO who you know is violating 117 regs you must refuse the flight and file an ASAP report. Again if these allegations are true the pilot group as a whole must make it clear to whoever is violating regulations that it is unacceptable and if need be put the violators on your no fly list.
The company will be under some scrutiny due to recent events and if these violations are happening the FAA will probably be talking to these morons.

You must be new to the airlines. pilots never stick together.
