Get a life Mary Jane !
I did leave Omni for Atlas, but I still have a number of friends who still work at Omni. I get involved in Omni talk because 1) The attitudes in this thread directly affect their livelihoods, and 2) We belong to the same union, Teamsters 1224.

I'm trying to help as a fellow member of Local 1224, and you tell me to "get a life." Actually, I'm taking time out of my day to try to help your life. If you can't see it, I don't know what else to say.

I don't need any help, I have been doing this type of airline work for a long time, probably longer than you have been alive. Worry about yourself , and I am sure your friends can fend for themselves or they can leave like you did, As a matter of fact if you are so worried about them get them a job at the greener grass place you went to, or did you find out its still the same Sh.. there.
As far as our contract goes, all I care about is the hourly rate and yes it is much better than before, for Quality of Life I make my own.
Might sound selfish but tough SH..

excellent post -- all the exomni now atlas flyers should just worry about their own airline and its troubles

The pay at Omni at the top end is just good enough to keep those people happy. The mid and bottom list folks are for the most part on their way out, if they can, so its hard to ever get the entire crewmember list going the same direction.

I doubt it, considering your fundamental misunderstandings of how a union works.

But, it's your company. If you feel you're being fairly compensated for the work you do, who am I to tell you otherwise? Best of luck to you guys.

Saw an Omni 777 at BWI yesterday, left engine cowling open, is this the one that had the blown engine? Otherwise the plane looked great!

They all look pretty good from the outside.

If it wasn't for attrition at Omni, there would probably be furloughs at Omni...
