Where did it's not the check airmen for this failure rate come from? All CRJ said was there was a rumor of the failure rate being at 50%. Nothing about blame. if anything I got from this is either people aren't prepared for training or are not what their logbook says they are.

Omni is losing FOs and even Captains to both Atlas and Spirit. NOT A RUMOR

With that payscale and 90 day TDY (I hear it's since gone away) we have a few former Omni FO's over at G4.

Truthfully, between that CA pay scale and the inability to break guarantee, I think it'd be a no-brainer for a junior to mid-level seniority Omni Captain to go to Atlas. Especially on the 747.

One person wrote 50% fail is true and one wrote not true. Would be great to know...

Would also be interesting to know what phase of training,,,

Both could be right if there were only two in the class or SIM group. Glass half full, half empty?

One member of a single crew failed = 50%. Good point. I hope nobody used that context.

10 in our October class (767&777). 1 didn't make it. It's not really an issue with anything other than the individual. It's tough training in the sense that it's not AQP, but one is afforded every opportunity like anywhere else. Bust your butt = success.

Ok great. Thanks. Going to go meet them. Do you know if they typically inform you soon after the interview? And did you find the written exam reasonable?

Written exam was a combination of instrument procedure questions and ATP knowledge. You've probably seen them all at one point in your career. All of my interview class got the Yes so we were told the day of the interview. I'm not sure how it's done if it's not 100% acceptance.

Many Omni pilots have not flown since last November, many are going non-current. They parked 387 in November and 396 will be parked very soon. One -200 supposedly coming on line soon, 207AX, another rumored to follow though no documentation. 74 program scrapped, for now... the proposed aircraft were junk.

Gotta ask, with pilots going non-current and parking aircraft, why are they in hiring mode?
