And you're at FDX as a 767 FO in HKG... Glad we all know how to research but I'm in no way a gate keeper, just outspoken on BS. Regardless, we can all grab pizza sometime if our positions bother you and discuss it while drinking some cold ones.

This is for all the folks considering Omni as an employer. I will try to recap on some of the training numbers for this year. January Class had 10-12 invited and two made it through training. February Class is still in training, I think two resignations so far. I don't think a new class has started, rumor has it May class do to lack of interest. Hope this helps.

A training failure or resignation from training is a BIG EFFING DEAL!!! Seems like all of a sudden training at omni is harder than moving Mt. Everest. Those numbers are far less than ideal. What happened over there? Are new hires no longer getting multiple opportunities to succeed? How about recurrent, are they making that more difficult as well? Best of luck to those forced to move on.

I think the problem at all airlines is new hire candidates have figured out the hiring process to get the job. How many of us have said, "How'd that moron get hired at xxxxxx?" Most failures at Omni are individuals that should not have been hired and some individuals ommitted past difficulties at previous employers. PRIA doesn't show everything. Company PILOTS should interview, evaluate, and hire company PILOTS. My opinion only.

I think this is a valid position. Every place I've worked (including the Navy) the interview was conducted by pilots. One had an interview board, but two of the three interviewers were pilots.

My experience was exactly this. For most of the day we were with the fleet manager and a line captain. HR only got involved after we were "hired". I believe HR normally does a short meet/greet but they were off at a job fair that particular day.
