I don't suspect Omni has intentions of liquidating. Omni is in the business of making money. However, management has made it clear there is a point where it is more cost effective for them to lease out the airplanes rather than operate them themselves. They claim this point is somewhere lower than what the negotiators are asking for in a new contract. None of us plebeians will really know until it is too late. Though, you have to wonder, to whom will they lease the airplanes. Not many are significantly involved in passenger charter operations nor do they seem to want to be.

Widebody PAX Charter: Atlas Air is the only competitor I am aware of in the U.S. This is strictly a relative comparison to say that Atlas is a higher cost competitor as their cost will continue to go up. Other than that, there is Delta, United and American for PAX Charters.
