Allegiant schedules are almost un commutable thus for someone that doesn't live in one of their odd bases home basing provides a much better QOL. Some people like the heavy international 1 leg to your overnight flying. It's definitely not for everyone but for most it beats the multi-leg up and down flying of the LCC's. Comparing Allegiant and Omni is like comparing Apples and Oranges.
I completely agree, which is why I came to omni

I was just pointing out what could lead to some people leaving omni for allegiant like one of the previous posters pointed out. People can like that flying for various different reasons. Maybe have a kid on the way and prefer to now be home every night compares to on the road for long stretches. All depends what they want in life and what works best for their situation.

Quality of life. The pipeline fills with a good match or eager fight hour hunters either way there is a fit.

Yes and no. I bailed from G4, but when I was there the company was TDYing guys left and right for months a a time just like Omni. And yes, they did it out of seniority and with no regard to yor personal situation. It got so bad jr CAs were asking to be downgraded. The record was 18 months straight... 2-3 consecutive was common. Some "home every night" with an asterisk.

But I digress, the ex-OAI guys I talked to actually said they came because of the 1 yr upgrade and because YR2 CA pay equaled year 7 at OAI. They also got sick of the 14 hour deadheads in coach. Sadly, again this is the old contract. I left G4 awhile ago so I hope things have gotten better.

I am wondering what competitive hiring minimums are at Omni. I am sure I am on the low end if even competitive at all, but I have 2800 TT and 1400 TPIC and am at a 135 cargo op flying a 1900. Had an internal rec but haven't heard anything in a month and a half.

I had close to the same TT but about half the tpic that you had and i got a phone interview. Did the phone interview but didn't hear anything for two months. Then they called to see if I could come in that following week. Declined due to changing situations.

You more than meet the mins. Keep the faith. I'm sure you'll hear from them eventually. If they offer you a class date you can't make, ask them for the next class date available.

I have been to AVB a few times in the last couple of years. What do you mean by "start"?
