Business or better would imply that if Business Class is not available, that you would be booked in a BETTER class of service, i.e. First Class, or not at all. Companies that offer Business or better to their pilots do not have the option of booking Coach period. This is not the case at Omni. They can still put you in Coach if Business Class is not available regardless of First Class being wide open. I was merely clarifying the claims in the previous posts.
My fault and I didn’t catch it. It’s Business if available.

Thanks for the clarification. Now let’s see..
How many airlines nowadays offer a Business vs First class option ?
Not many.
But assuming they did.. What if First class was also full ?
Is the only option then to keep one away from home until a suitable class becomes available?

Nope. Back to cattle class you go and you get the pay for pain instead.

Company is not obligated to buy first class. Its business if available or pay for pain. Not business or better.

"Here we stand in a crowd, stars in our eyes
Standing up proud; it's the perfect disguise.
So much to give, so much to gain
Give me your money and I'll give you my pain.
It's a fair exchange."

Outside the US a good number of airlines offer First and Business class.

Very competent, smart and a great guy. Don’t have details why he parted ways with Omni, but it’s Omni’s loss.

I did like him. Seemed very good at his job. Rumor is it was a negotiating tactic gone wrong.
