most of the FAs that were furloughed did not come back - reason for the new hire class - as mentioned above some news coming that might not be good for the pilots - currently too many junior FOs on the 767 fleet

The downgrades were all street captains or very junior pilots that were made captains almost immediately upon completing training. There were downgrades due to the company parking the DC-10's and a reshuffling of a large majority of the pilot group. We have all heard rumors about furloughs, bad news, mergers, buyouts, and additional planes; its an airline so I think those rumors are par for the course. I am sure the people in Tulsa have something in the works but they won't tell anyone else until the last possible minute.

Some interesting things in the last week, including Captain upgrades, and filling of vacancies in the Vegas base. This coming just weeks after downgrades, that basically downgraded all the street captains hired in the past few years prior to the contract passing last year. Of course now upgrades are done by seniority. Working here is a thrill a minute, furlough rumors one week, hiring rumors the next. Such is the life at a non-sked.

Heard it was cheeper to buy it than to return it to the leasing company. I don't know if it will stick around or not when it comes up for a C check. Besides having on stray bird around, the 75 is a thrill to fly.
