According to a friend of mine at Omni as well as their website, they are accepting resumes for f/o's. I want to send a resume, but when I click on they link I find my gmail email client is configured correctly. Is there an email address for HR that works... say maybe [email protected] ? Thanks.

From a company email today:
Quote:
Effective immediately we are implementing furloughs and a reduction in force that will be felt throughout the company. These actions will include indefinite furloughs for pilots, flight engineers and flight attendants as well as a reduction in force for a number of maintenance personnel and administrative staff. Affected employees have been notified today.

Yikes!!!! Sorry to hear that. I guess with the drawn down in military you would kind of expect an impact on the MAC carriers.

Any idea which aircraft types would be phased out - I presume the older DC10s given the FE's mentioned... I hope the furloughed pilots get picked up by other carriers soon.

Good luck to all involved!

Wow, sorry to hear about this...although, I must disagree about the draw down...both of our 744's are busy with AMC pax flights. Please don't misunderstand...I'm not tooting Atlas' horn here, but just stating what I'm seeing with our schedule.

Not sure it has to do with a drawdown in military work...I think the -10s were just getting old and unreliable. I'm hoping we see some new airplanes on property soon, in order to bring people back to work.

Sorry to hear this, anyone going on the street is bad news for the whole industry. Just out of curiosity, how does your new contract handle reduction in force? Is it by seniority, or does Crippen get to furlough by type as he did here at Ryan before we fixed that in our current CBA?

Good luck to all affected!

Done by seniority per the new contract NO pilot will be furloughed but as the Dc10 crews move to the other fleets some Junior Captains will get downgraded
There were open slots on the 777/767 that is why no actual furlough for the pilots

The company email seems quite specific that pilots will be furloughed.
