I sent a resume in with 2,0005 TT, 1000 turbine, and with a 2 year degree (i'm getting my 4 year finished up) wondering if I'm not going to even get a call, I hope I do, but I doubt it.

I heard today that the judge bought off on Omni buying the IAD operation. Also I believe they have hired some NAA pilots as FOs.

Just sent my stuff in to see what happens. Looks like Omni is in an excellent position, and just the right size, to fill a charter flying niche.

I got 5000+ tt 3 types and meet the reqs so keeping my fingers crossed. My main concern is scheduling. Are guys able to stack their blocks off as back to backs? What gateway airports are available in SE Asia? Hoping BKK is, but HKG or ICN would be great too.

gateway airports only in lower 48 states - those overseas have to get themselves to their gateway airport or if line starts overseas might be cheaper for company to fly them from home - cost is the main concern for the company for crew travel

How about the stacking of days off (end of one period into beginning of next)?

Yes you can bid a schedule so that you work the first part of the month and have off the end of the month as well as being off the beginning of the next month. It is possible to have 24 or so days off in a row but then you would be on the road for possibly 35 or so. It all depends on what you can bid based on you guessed it, seniority.

all depends on seniority and the monthly lines - bid it and if you can hold it - no problem -

Ok... Same as everywhere else I figure with the way a schedule is built... Figure there's enough people at OAI to at least be able to trip trade into it. Or so I will hope.

right now - not able to trip trade or bid line trade - but still a good place to work - just keep in mind the current 90 TDY to MAD that is usually manned by junior crews

I'd be terrified of the 90 day TDY, but if given no choice, it is what it is. I understand you have some restrictions in place for when they can send you out on another one?

What's causing the lack of trip trade-ability? Company restricted in some way? Is that the norm or just due to staffing situation?
