Alas, that is not too far from the ACMI industry standard for new-hire training pay.

Connie pays $600/week during training.. until completion of OE. You are on your own during ground school for housing, but for sim you are on per diem and hotel is paid (hampton inn).

As much as it looks like a setup.... it was an honest question. It makes it hard to leave your current seat for a ACMI carrier.

I hope OE doesn't take as long as some other places I've worked!

Some carriers pay less per week, but pays for the the hotel during GS and first year pay starts at the completion of your sim training. So I am sure all of the ACMI outfits are about the same when it comes out of the wash.

I actually found Omni's training pay to work out pretty well. The Staybridge in Tulsa was nice, and single-occupancy (XJT was double-occupancy, which was awful). As advertised, I was off training pay 60 days in, which was actually about 2 weeks before my initial PC. Long training cycle. The 3 months I sat at home waiting for IOE was paid at full guarantee.

I had no problem on training pay. The hotel has free breakfast every day, and free dinner 3 days a week. Kitchenettes in every room with a grocery store out the back door. I gave myself 10 bucks a day, and ate lunch out. They provided a van for our use as well.

Far and away 100x better than any regional training experience.

Anyone know when they are interviewing again? Travel to interview on your dime I assume?

Agree 100%, you are quite well tended to throughout the entire training experience.

Not sure, I've heard they've staffed a January class, but I'm sure there will be more. Travel to interview is your responsibility, hotel is paid for though.

This is correct, except for the fact that the actual training is TERRIBLE... I would say without hesitation that Omni has the worst training program I've ever been through with any airline...
