I really truly do hope that things work out for you guys. Any of the CZ guys I've had in my jump or talked to on the bus to the hotel have been great, and your memes are epic.
That all said, reading through the wishful thinking of this thread reminds me of a battered wife who thinks her husband really is sorry this time, and the roses he brought home the day after blackening both of her eyes in a drunken rage makes up for all the pain and lies.
Meanwhile over on the Deltazz or United threads they're complaining cause their supermodel sugar momma occasionally passes gas during dinner and makes em drive a Miata as a track day car instead of a Porsche.
Jump on this opportunity that is presenting itself and move from the wife that just takes and complains about how you're never home and how little you make , and move along to that supermodel, or maybe the plus size Sports Illustrated model if the supermodel isn't your type.

I don’t need to, my sources have more or less always been correct about ongoing business decisions at CZ. You’re free to think what you want. I’m confident in the information they’ve provided because they’re “in the know”. I don’t need you to believe me and I’m not trying to sell you on my opinion. Just telling it “like it is”.

Is that the same DO that lied to the company about not starting 2? The same DO that stated in the company call that Frontier asked for the Flow? The same DO that introduced him self with name, “don’t lie to me”? The same CP that lost his mind on a CELL class saying he was tired of the babysitting...and is no longer with the company anymore?
Cmon man. If you haven’t signed an NDA, you’re just like the rest of us. Dependent upon others for the information. If you really didn’t give a what we thought you wouldn’t even be posting here.

Didn't someone's source, really don't remember who, claim or hint we were getting United flying? Unnamed source that was credible of course. Something about 20 planes already signed but CPZ was working on a deal for more?

Here's how I've come to look at it.... We don't know what's gonna happen, but we do know we're regional pilots and we're here because it benefits our long term career goals..
If you're a new hire- enjoy the free type with no training contract and enjoy your future signing bonus should we close... You hopefully got something out of coming here.
If you're on reserve, that sucks, but fly on your off days, get paid to chill at home-- go to the beach, hiking, whatever on your reserve days, flight instruct if youre on long call! It's not ideal but it's money to do nothing or build total time which you need anyway.
If you're on reserve and commuting to reserve... That just sucks.. I have no encouraging words. Ide probably quit
If you're a line holder... Look.. We don't know what's going on and we may close- who knows? But you can reasonably know that you can get a fast job with the way the industry is right now. Today, however, you have a line in an E175- you're getting time..
Try to get to your next goal before leaving if you can- get CA qualified so if you have to bounce you can take the first upgrade... Get to 1000 pic if that's you... Get past 3000 or 4000 hrs total. I would be flying my butt off if I were you guys while we have the flying. Take advantage because you know you'll take a hit in time building if you leave and have to go through training.. Maybe it's worth it to stay as long as you comfortably can in order to get what you came for or get as close as you can.
I've resigned myself to expect nothing from compass, but I'm gonna take as many hours as I possibly can before its over.. So when the music stops for us here at cpz, hopefully we'll all be sitting in class at a major drinking coffee like baby yoda while we troll envoy on our laptops telling them "we heard we're getting the planes back Q1 next year!"

Unfortunately I would say about 60% of CPZ pilots are or going to be commuters soon (also counting some LAX commuters) to endless reserve. I've commuted to reserve for a year flying maybe 20-30 hours a month. I was about to throw in the towel with the announcement of losing 6 planes and MSP closing. I just couldn't do that again. Good luck to all the new commuters especially as reserve gets longer. I am hoping there really is a new opportunity out there.
That being said, I am really happy to see so many former coworkers around the hotel here in FLL. I think we are turning NKs LAS base into a CPZ refugee base. If you see a yellow bus double waving, you'll know why.

I think everyone knows the DO’s past issues but judging the outcome of Compass’s future on those words is being out of touch with how deals are done
