I just wish I saw Delta's pilot group pushing for putting all 900s and 175s from the merged companies on mainline.
Would anyone support NWA giving -9s and buses to Xj and Compass at their rates (if scope allowed it)? I sure as heck hope not. But that's in essence exactly what's going on. While I understand some people's interest in doing what's best for "#1," I just wish there was more focus at the top on scope vs. pay.
Then again, it's kinda like the age 65 thing--the people who had the power to stop it were a) older, b) not at the regionals, and c) more likely to be flying something really big, so I doubt we'll see any tighter scope post-merger.

Quote from NWA Capacity Cuts Article.......
...." But it said regional flying would rise by as much as 55 percent as it adds new 76-seat jets. Chief Financial Officer Dave Davis said the smaller jets cost about 30 percent less to operate because of lower labor and fuel expenses, even after making the debt payments.".........
I find it funny that being paid absolute crap is actually becoming an advantage nowadays.

Correct me if I'm wrong but when a person flows up to NW they are basically a new hire and issued a senority number on the bottom of the list. Why if they flow back should they be issued a senority number higher than a pilot working at that regional? Does that seem fair?

How about the hundreds of our guys that got displaced by CAL flowbacks, only to be told later, "sorry Flow-through" is gone
