Comair execs in MSP, merger with Compass
#51
Why are suggesting that Compass pilots are intentionally undercutting you? Your management created Compass. Then your union approved it. Anyone who came to Compass didn't do it as a personal attack to Northwest Pilots. So get over it. Fortunately my personal experiences with most 9 and bus drivers have been pleasant. However when it comes to a message board, its easy to type ridiculous attacks and go hide in your living room.

Are you sure its 90 and not 92 or 89. Whatever the number is the fact that comair is now struggling and is definetly a disadvantage to Compass in case of any merger remains as obvious as your accuracy in keeping count of comairs Aircraft.

Wow, where to start. Please tell me you are not an airline pilot... an analyst for Boyd Associates or something like that I would believe...
1 Capacity is being reduced everywhere, not increased
2 The RJ's have FADEC's - but improper flying costs more than no FADEC's
3 Comair's pilot group is NOT the most senior of the regionals.... just about EVERY regional likes to claim their labor costs are too high due to seniority.... it's an old war cry; and many are getting sick of hearing it.
Stop falling for this type of crap. If the Exec's can continuously take bonus after bonus after bonus, then there is nothing wrong with the cash flow... what having a more senior workforce means, is less bonus for them to steal.
4 Four years and then go to a major? That was a good system and used to work well....... about 15 years ago. Since then, majors have been shrinking, while more and more regionals moved to jets, and now, even biger jets. The old career path of doing your time at a regional then going to a major is all but gone. The regional managers want you to fall for this train of thought, so you will put up with lousy working conditions, low pay, and a lack of respect.... because.... after all, your just killing time before going to a major right?
Yep, your either a reporter, or a Boyd type analyst.... that stuff you typed is the kind of crap they would say.

I can find you countless articles stating clearly that Delta is cutting domestic flying.
Show me one CRJ 100/200 with FADEC. 700 and 900 Yes, but not the 100/200 that comair flyes in majority.
I dont agree with the excs but you have to admit that comair HAS the oldest pilot group around. Their seniorty number tops 27 years. show me another regional with that many years on top.

The only commercial plane associated with sexy lines and nice proportions is "The Lady". (757, for you)

Ok this Comair & Compass rumor is ridiculous. If you are going to start rumors, come up with something more believable. Just so you know, the execs for Compass dont have offices in Minneapolis. They are in Chantilly, Virginia. Nice try though.
