Flew with a ground/sim instructor in the past couple of days. He said the current plan(as of the last couple of days) was to hire 20 per month. I looked at him in amazement thinking we have to hire 30-35 per month to keep up. He just looked at me and rolled his eyes and said he has no idea how they plan on staffing that many planes with that few new hires a month. Also, check airman in the jump-seat said 5 check airman are leaving in July alone. They were both unsure how the current plan was going to keep up with the need for pilots. TSH better figure it out.

Don't worry, if Delta doesn't outright cancel the flow through at Compass they'll just keep delaying class dates for the flow through guys until Compass catches up on staffing.

Well I know for a fact they just recently hired more check airman ( flew with one who was just selected in the past week or 2) and talking to people in hiring recently a monthly plan has yet to be finalized but classes are still running. So lets all chill out, or we can go business as usual and freak out.

IF that really is the actual plan, this will be a lot worse than I originally imagined. Good luck to us all

Is the flow through a part of the pilot TA at Compass? If yes, then I rescind my comments. Otherwise, one thing I do know about contracts is that if all parties involved (in this case, TSH and Delta) agree to modify or nullify a contract they are free to do so.

The contract has 4 signatures. Compass, Delta, Delta ALPA and Compass ALPA. Not to mention there are only about 150 people left that have flow rights.
