As one of the above mentioned DTW FOs, do any DTW guys on here think it will be tough to hit 500 hours of 121 SIC by upgrade time? How long is reserve in DTW these days?

How often are vacancies posted?
If you are awarded DTW and want to head to MSP or LAX, how long will you be stuck there?

As for getting time in DTW, as FO's upgrade, you may be a line holder in a couple months, unless people bid back from LAX when they can hold a line in DTW. I'd say about 8 months for 500 hours, if you are a line holder after 3 months of reserve.

LAX you will most likely get out of training, its the most junior and not highly sought after. MSP takes a bid or so. Bids were coming out 3 to 4 times a month this past summer. Usually one comes out with each new hire class.

I think it is the Pear Tree Inn. I just had recurrent a couple weeks ago, seems like the running plan now is once captain upgrades get going they are going to keep them in MSP. Meaning once the sim schedule is maxed out in Minneapolis new hires are going to be sent down to STL (pending certification of the IPT down there from the FAA). So good news for the new hires that they may not be on hook the entire time for housing because a hotel will be provided in St. Louis.

Yep, our class starts the sim portion the second week of Dec, and we are going to be down in STL.

I tried telling people this would happen but most disagreed. This is great news because it will help a ton with new hires lodging expenses. Probably only need to be in MSP 2 weeks vs 6...plus it's slightly warmer in STL?
