Best estimate between now and the end of next year I would say should be about 400 new hires. est. 150+ flows, 20 additional aircraft (maybe about another 180-200 people) and any other attrition (have to say at least 40-50).

CP operated for the first 5-6 years of operation with about that number. It will be interesting for the people there.

Great movement always means very short staffed! But people on property now will be mid grade CAs mid next year. (FO I just flew with bids top 10 in LA and he got online in Feb)

I was curious how many days per month FO line holders are typically working at LAX to get to guarantee. Is there much opportunity to pick up hours over guarantee?

19 days on 12 off 89 hours credit this month holding a line. Definitely plenty of opportunities to pick up flying. It's a buyer's market

In DTW when I bid top 50% as a FO I'd get 90 and 14-16 off. We did longer legs than LAX does though.

The flows that are slated to go will go, and be gone, by this time next year ... or maybe closer to the fall of next year. Either way they're more than likely won't be any more flows after that. The guys on property when sold to TSA are the ones flowing. Guys hired after that (July 2010) will not flow. I very very very highly doubt delta will agree to additional flows than to those who already have these rights.
