'Preciate the well wishes, but it won't happen. We're still being "punished" and they've already stated they have others lined up to do the rest of the flying. Whether it's you guys, piedmont, or whoever...we don't know yet.

I can't think of a reason why American would award more flying to Compass right now. In my mind either they would have awarded it all at once, or they'll wait and see how we work out.

Exactly! The only reasons AA decided to use Compass for the first 20 planes, was because there were only 2 bidders in that bid for those 20 planes, and they did not want to to give them to Envoy, just to prove a silly point. AA was running out of time and went with compass. Hopefully any future planes would go to Envoy, but unfortunately, with the recent vote at Piedmont, I expect them to start flying the future 175 deliveries. Things always seem to go the exact opposite of fair in this industry.

I think there is more to it than that, I hardly believe AA chose CZ because they didn't want to give them to Envoy? I'm sure it was a business decision involving analysis of the bids including the cost to crew and train the aircraft...there were multiple bidders on the CPA btw...

I'd agree with this assessment. AA had options with RAH which they chose not to exercise in order to give the flying to Compass. I'd guess because of CZ's relatively junior pay scales.

Piedmont will probably get the next batch once the conditions in their LOA are met.

Right to both of you. It was a business decision nothing to do with the NO vote.

You're out of your mind. If Envoy had voted yes the 175s would have been contractually placed at Envoy, not put on a RFP which Compass won.

Is there any delay between sim training and IOE? How long does it take to complete IOE?

FO's get priority, so there shouldn't be much. Captains were waiting about 10 days.
