Hey guys, I'm facing my first possible furlough at my current airline. I just signed back up for airline apps and submitted my app to Compass. About how long after someone sends in their resume will they hear something back? I'm making Compass my number one choice in hopes of an LAX base so I'll have a relatively easy commute.

Ok, thanks. I just applied about two hours ago but I'm in Hawaii so hopefully I'll hear something tomorrow. Did you get hired? How was the interview?

I was hired, start next month, interviewed in September. I thought it was very relaxed and everyone was friendly. The gouges are accurate, most of my prep time was for the knowledge test. Have a few stories you can tell that deal with conflict, customer service, and CRM.

Time to sit down and try and remember some stories. Congrats to you! Was the knowledge test just basic ATP questions?

Disclaimer: just an idea, no factual evidence to prove this is management's thought process.

Saw a 170 parked next to air stairs tonight and thought - maybe AA wants our bags in the cargo bins because they don't want to pay for worker's compensation when we go tumblinng down the stairs? Thoughts?

I mean walking on a busy ramp, dodging the belt loader or catering truck that trying to get at the R1 door, and then lifting my bag above my head to put it in the cargo bin sounds just as risky, if not more. Especially when you factor in a FA doing it.

Island Air. New CEO has changed fleet plans and we have no clue what his plans are now but there are too many pilots, since they hired for two additional aircraft -- two Q400's, which were paid for in cash, are being flown to Arizona to sit in the desert.

Ah, ok. Yeah that sounds like a business decision that my upper management team would have made. Yikes!

I interviewed in the beginning of this month. My app didn't sit long in the queue (measured in minutes), but that was the middle of last month. Compass has been getting a lot of FOs from my airline recently. Good luck on an email soon!!
