I still feel all the FO hiring is of the "get 'em while you can" thought process.
And we're losing 2-3 cka's a month to the majors.

I agree, we have about 800 pilots on property, divide that by 62 airplanes, and its between 12-13 pilots a plane which seems to be about industry average no?

Compass updates
Went in for 6mo recently and was told 2 classes only had 3 or 4 people but all classes have been full after that. Nobody had a clue as to why so many new hires though...

They are still playing catch up in my opinion. Every day in LA they are short or have 0 available CA reserves. Daily critical pay messages about MSP CA, and an entire month of critical pay open time pick ups. There are still tons of people leaving and a huge amount of people continually in training.
Hopefully the plan is to finally have this place properly staffed. If there is more flying coming we are already behind.

A few months ago they were some slight delays in training due to sim availability and instructor availability. However recently I've heard from friends in training that it's been smooth and not any real issues
