Don't quote me on this but pretty sure you have to have an unrestricted ATP to finish training. I was in the schoolhouse today and was told you had to have at least 1500 to get to the LOE to receive the PIC type/ATP

Uhhhh,No you don't. You can have a restricted.

Huh, APD said he sent someone home last week so he could get his 1500 to get his PIC type/ATP...he could have been close and just wanted him to get unrestricted, but he said he hasn't had anybody with less than 1500 come through...maybe you can get hired but they expect you to have 1500 before LOE???

In my case, the 1500 total time won't be an issue, but the 500 cross country will be. You can get a restricted ATP with 1500 TT and 200 cross country, which will be my case. That is where my question of if that would be acceptable comes from.

I'll have around 2000tt with about 300 cross country when I finish my commitment to my current employer.

Would anyone recommend/ not recommend just calling compass at the number in the profiles area and ask if they were looking for pilots? Or is that pushing it? Have an unrestricted ATP. enough multi etc. Or just keep holding out to see if they pick it up at AirApps?

I'd call. My buddy called and they pulled his app right then and he had an interview date within 10 minutes.

Calling is bush league. Don't do that. Use recommendations, job fairs etc.
