Well, what the pilot allegedly said in the email is true. It's dumb to have dispatch ask "is it anything major?" every time I call MXC. I don't ****ing know. That's why I'm calling MXC. There's no reason why we should have to explain it twice when it's often time sensitive. Just connect me and do a three-way call if you want to hear about it right then.
It's not like it makes a difference if it's a coffee maker inop or a fuel quantity indicator not functioning. I used to have the number straight to SOC that bypassed dispatch and although the guy answering the phone was often confused as to why I was calling him asking for MXC, it's better than having dispatch interrogating us.

And I'd definitely hesitate to call asking "what's wrong" "interrogating us."

Why are people such sissies? It used to be that if someone wronged you, intentional or not, you'd talk with them about it...have a meaningful conversation and resolve it like grown-ups. Now you send whiney emails to your superiors? Poor, sensitive baby dispatcher had a big bad pilot be mean to him?
I'm suspicious that this generation of people who've been receiving participation trophies for finishing last their whole lives, who've been told how special they are, are ill equipped to handle the real world. Sure, in a perfect world we're always polite on the phone, but we've all had moments where we are a little short with people. If emails like this go out every time one of us isn't completely friendly and chipper than its no wonder that the servers keep going down.

I could make a full time job out of sending emails if I sent one every time a mx guy was rude to me.

Makes sense considering we have LAX FA's TDY there since July.

Just a friendly piece of info for all you fellow TSH guys on the compass side of the house. The app RosterBuster is an app that will work with the new IOCC/Netline system. Some TSA guys emailed the devs of the app and got it to work with TSA. The same can be done for all of you. It can even pair up with LogTen and download your flight time right into it like flica could. Best of luck with the switch whenever you make it.

Can you give an example of something that is "time-sensitive?" And even better, something so "time-sensitive" that there's no time for civility? Or so "time-sensitive" that you can't provide a two-second bulletpoints description of the problem when the dispatcher asks what's going on? If the flight blocks out late because something is broken, that's not your problem! If SOC wants you to explain the problem twice and you're late, again: Not your problem! Let's not try to take responsibility for things that are out of our control.
And I'd definitely hesitate to call asking "what's wrong" "interrogating us."

My solution to this is a three-way call if they feel left out of the loop for a couple minutes.
I like JC, he's a good dispatcher and is pleasant to talk to, but he needs to grow a thicker hide. It's a little sensitive to email about the big bad pilots just because you have a verbal disagreement. I don't complain when GP talks **** about us over the phone as he picks it up. I've seen him do that with another CA and with me, but you don't see me losing sleep over it and emailing half the company.

Second, He didn't send the email to half the work force...intentionally. That was an accident (I would assume) and it's not like he was airing it out for everyone to see in order to be vindictive. Well, I guess he COULD have done that, but I doubt it.
Third, It's really none of our business sense the email isn't for us. Thus not really any of our business.
