If a regional owns the airframe, then should it come off contract for one company it will start flying for another. An idle asset does not generate revenue- these folks are running a business, not a charity.
Yes comparing QOL between regionals can sometimes be like comparing which feces smells better, but it was a valid point to suggest the advantage of having your company's name on the registration certificate. I'm pretty sure most people have that goal....get the name in big letters on the side of the aircraft to match the name on the paycheck.

Man you're dense. Owning the airframe means that they can't be pulled from underneath you. If DL, UA, AS or AA own the plane, then they decide who flies it. What it means for Compass is all of the planes can be put elsewhere.

Well then how did 6 170s get placed elsewhere? I think you're misunderstanding what scoped out means. Scoped out is I great thing...in fact I hope going forward regional flying is insourced back to mainline.
My point is the 56 remaining 175s are owned by AA and DL. In theory they could get shuffled to another regional...like Endeavor for the DL birds. That does not require any changes in scope.

Quick question son. What's *your're* as you so eloquently describe it? If *your're* going to give grammar lessons, make sure you double check yourself.

American birds could be gone tomorrow, just ask an Envoy pilot (even though they are still under contract). The DL birds are safe for the short foreseeable future, due to the fact that they are the higher GTOW and would require a contract change for them to be flown by someone else (and they are still under contract).

Yes, I was talking the other way. A company that owns their own airplanes (like RAH or OO) could end up stuck with a bunch of CRJ or ERJs that they own/make payments on, that they can't place anywhere. Yes, the DL/AA/UA owned airplanes are safe, they're already in there.

If you guys spent half the energy updating apps and bettering yourself vs comparing di** sizes on this forum you would be at mainline by now.
Skywest sucks, compass sucks, they all suck.

And yes a couple SKW airplanes have their name painted on the side, but that sure isn't my goal. The passengers aren't buying a ticket from skywest. (I do know what you meant by that, and yes mainline is my goal as well).
