Here is a question out of a hat, let's say staffing goes good and all upgrade folks actually pass upgrade, u like the rumors im hearing. Will the people who lost their vacation get it back or is it final?

Shooting from the hip, but I'm guessing it's final. Takes 3 months for people starting class today to complete IOE. That puts us past December. Although I hear people get sick a lot that time of year, too.

For all the new people looking into coming here, here's my two cents. I came from the 135 world (three different companies) and this is the best job I've ever had as far as work rules/rest rules/hard days off etc...

Yes, this is a regional airline so obviously at the end of the day, this job can only be so good (pay, industry whipsaw, etc..). But if you're a 135 guy coming from a "run of the mill" 135 company, you will probably be happy here.

There aren't many lifers here and we want to move on so movement is a big bonus here.

Lastly, if you're on the west coast, this place will give you the best QOL, FO-captain. You won't need to commute to the Midwest to get a quick upgrade.

Thats interesting because I had a OO CA on my jumpseat the other day from BOI-MSP. He said he has been at OO for 11 years and couldn't hold BOI even as the plug. He said he was thinking he might be able to hold it by the end of the year. Not saying you are wrong just conflicting information is all....

I only see DAL wear their hats, the rest I’ve yet to see.

I never thank any passenger for flying American Airlines, Delta Airlines or even American eagle or delta connection. I just say thanks for flying with us. Common curtesy goes a long way with the general public.

Do you also say “entering sterile” and do you follow every line of every book we have exactly as it says? Our CBA also has rules that mgmt doesn’t follow.

Not sure we got a legit answer but what is the honest reason guys don't want to wear their hats here at cpz, even tho the FOM says to? Is it an ego thing, a "I don't look cool" thing or are you guys just hard core rebels like my high school son thinks he is.
